Hello,
In this program a set of various versions of Must Qalandar, a tribute to Lal Shabaz Qalandar, a Sufi saint. Lal = Red and May Day is coming up though, of course, Lal Shabaz Qalandar having lived from 1177-1274 and being a Sufi has no connection to socialism or Marxism. The designator "Red" has to do with his hair or clothing. An article on Sufi saints from Pakistan can be found here.
In passing, literally, I came across a poster, shown in the attached photo, on the window of the coffee shop below the radio station. Maybe the East is red!
Also, a pop/rock set, almost call and response, on love and romance. Listen for Natasha's piece which is very Naghmana Jaffreyish in tone (a la Maghroor Laila).
Finally, a short jazz set.
The audio file is available here till 12 May.
Enjoy!
