This program features a track by tabla player Suphala Patankar who grew up in the Twin Cities. Also featured is a track by Badal Roy (who attended a Duke Ellington concert at the Hotel Metropole in Karachi in 1959 and turned on to jazz).

Here is the announcement made during the program about a health survey for the Twin CIties South Asian community:

SEWA Family Wellness is partnering with University of Minnesota to conduct a health survey for South Asians living in Minnesota. South Asians include people from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, and also Indians from Guyana & Trinidad. The goal of the survey is to gain a better understanding of the specific health issues in the South Asian community so that SEWA can design programs to address those issues. This survey does not collect any personal data and is also completely confidential.
